So, Christmas is over and I am spending my time weaning out old socks...
It happens every year. We buy a million things for Christmas and two weeks later I am thinking, "Where in the world am I going to keep this stuff? I wish I had more closet space..."
My husband gave a wonderful lesson for FHE last night, about keeping our family one in purpose and our home like the temple. I couldn't help but think...I bet the temple president doesn't worry about closet space.
It is the American way, right? Buy more than you can afford or more than you have room to store? Hoard away things that have not been touched in years, but may actually be of real value to someone else? Last night we decided as a family to start a new tradition this year, what comes in, must go out...
For every item we buy at Christmas there is going to be an item in the house to be sold or donated. We do not need a bigger house or larger closets, perhaps it is time to make our spending habits and "packratness" more like the temple and just purge.

Hope you guys are doing well!
Ditto!!! I've got a box going already of things that need to GO!
Rick and I were talking about buying the game Rock Band for the Wii, but then I was thinking about how much space it takes up..... Now, who knows if we'll get it! :)
